Installation Director
Job Summary
As the Golf Simulator Installation Director, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining golf simulator systems at various locations such as residential homes, commercial establishments, and recreational facilities. Your primary objective will be to ensure the accurate and seamless setup of golf simulator hardware and software to deliver an optimal user experience. This role demands a combination of technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and Setup
- Travel to client sites across the Southeast to install golf simulator systems according to specifications and guidelines.
- Assemble hardware components including screens, projectors, sensors, cameras, and tracking devices.
- Install software applications and configure system settings for optimal performance.
- Test all components to ensure functionality and troubleshoot any issues that arise during setup.
- Calibration and Alignment
- Calibrate sensors and tracking devices to accurately measure ball flight and club movement.
- Align projection screens and cameras to ensure proper visualization and feedback during gameplay.
- Fine-tune settings to account for environmental factors such as lighting and space constraints.
- Quality Assurance
- Conduct thorough quality checks to verify system integrity and performance.
- Address any defects or deficiencies promptly, either through adjustments or replacement of components.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during installation processes.
- Training and Support
- Provide onsite training to clients on how to use the golf simulator system effectively.
- Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance to address user queries or issues.
- Educate clients on maintenance procedures and best practices to prolong the lifespan of the equipment.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including equipment inventory and configuration details.
- Generate installation reports and service documentation for internal records and client reference.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers regarding installation progress and any challenges encountered.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in audio-visual installation, electronics, or similar technical field preferred.
- Familiarity with golf simulator technology and equipment is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
- Customer-oriented mindset with outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to travel to client locations as required and work flexible hours.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Education
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional technical certifications or training in electronics, audio-visual systems, or related fields may be beneficial.
Physical Requirements
This role may involve lifting heavy equipment and working in various physical positions to complete installations. Candidates should be capable of bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
